Figure 1 - Big Laughs Network Official Logo

We chose to call our production company 'Big Laughs Network' as we decided that comedy was going to be our focused genre. This also incorporates all of our first name initials as well.

Figure 2 - Draft Logo 1
I went away and make some different design for the logo that we could choose between and include different elements. As a group we decided that we liked the idea of the wind up teeth being incorporated within the design as they are in keeping with the comedy theme and add colour to the logo.

Figure 3 - Draft Logo 3
I started by taking on board some of the suggestions that were make by the team and making these into examples. One of the ideas we have was having the teeth appear as though they had taken a bite out of the first letter. (Figure 2) However, when this image was made small, the bite mark was not obvious or noticeable, therefore didn't quite have the effect we were hoping for.

Figure 4 - Example End Card
I them tested out different sizes for the teeth but found that the size shown in Figure 3 worked best as this lined up with the highest and lowest points of the text. When testing to see how well this would on the end card of our credits, this looked the best and most in proportion.

The font I used for this logo was called 'Boys R Gross' which I found online. We agreed on this font because we liked the shadowing on the letters, breaking up the white and the black. We also liked the different sizing of the letters in how some were larger and some smaller, we felt this went with our comedy theme in that it's not straight cut and traditional. Overall, we feel our final developed logo defines our production comedy well and expresses our aim of production comedy.
