PRE-PRODUCTION • Branding | Development

For the branding of Young & Famous, I initially created some different deigns that we could choose from and then pitched them to the rest of the group for their opinions. I created two documents that contained three different fonts and 3 different colour schemes. The fonts were relatively similar as I felt they all matched the theme of the show. With the colour schemes, I went with the tree that matched our characters the most and that were noticeable. The first was mainly bright colours, the second was a mix of colours, all with a slight pastel tone and the third was more 70's inspired which is linked to our characters history.

In the end we chose the second colour palette displayed and the third font shown. Our reasoning for choosing this colour palette was because we felt the mixture of colours would make the logo stand out more but also would represent all the different aspect of Annie and Dean's lives. We also decided that the pink and blue would represent the two different characters. In terms of the font, we chose 'Packing Funny'. This was because we liked the fact that the letters didn't sit on a straight line, making them them appear unique and quirky like Annie & Dean. We also agreed that the 3D effects on the letters and the small lines surrounding them that suggest they are moving also matched the theme of the show in that there is more to that characters that just what we see at face value and they are always changing and different things are happening in their lives.
