FICTION ADAPTATION • Peanuts Comic Strip

The Peanuts comic strip was written and drawn by Charles M. Schulz and began in the late 1950s, running until the 2000's. It published a total of over 17,000 strips and at one point ran in over 2,600 newspapers. The story focuses on a group of young children with main character Charlie Brown who lacks lots of self confidence. According the The World Encyclopedia of Comics,  he can't fly a kite, kick a football or win a baseball game.

There have been one off television specials such as A Charlie Brown Christmas in 1965, which was nominated for an Emmy Award.

The style is quite simple and isn't too detailed which makes it easy to understand. I like this as it means the story is the most detailed part of it, when it comes to my animation I want to work with this style, making my images simple so that the story and poem is the most prominent part.
