Test Sound and Filming Interviews • Workshops
In our recent sound workshop, we were given the task of filming a short interview sequence. At the beginning of the workshop we were asked as a group to set up an interview. There were lots of things we had to consider to make sure that everything would work well.
We then split up into smaller groups and filmed our own interview sequences, using what we had learned in the morning. For this we interviewed Becca and had Ellie asking the questions. Ellen was responsible for sound and I was on camera. For the sound, we decided to use a clip mic on Becca and use a boom to capture the ambience and background sounds from the room.
Before we filmed out cutaway shots, we wrote a script and shot list to help us work out what we wanted to do.
Overall, the video and sound came out well and I'm happy with the quality. We worked well as a team and all helped with the different aspects of the task.
