When designing the website, Ellen and I had a meeting to discuss what we wanted the design and layout of the website to look like. Deciding on colours and what background images to use was most already done because we wanted to make sure we stuck to the colour scheme and images we included in the Style Bible.  We decided on including the pages " About Us " which would including a description of the show and an explanation of some of the different rounds as well as some information about the producer and how we came  about the idea for the show. The " Blog " page includes a range of different blog posts for out audience to read. These are movie related and range from "Celebrity Lookalikes" to Behind the Scenes of different popular movies. When coming up  with ideas to go with selling's the tickets, we discussed them during a whole class production meeting where it was mentioned that we should put a price on the tickets to help raise money for a charity. Throughout multiple production meetings we decided that we wouldn't put a price on the tickets because we were worried that we wouldn't get enough audience members but we did decide that we would have collection buckets which the runners would walk round with on the day so that people had the option to donating to the charity we chose.  We decided to sell tickets using Eventbrite which was an easy way for us keep track of how many tickets we had sold, how many were left and it was also an easy way for the audience to get tickets as all you had to go was enter your name and email address and then how many tickets you wanted to reserve.  For the ticket page we designed it to include a description of the show and what it is about. When shooting the trailer for the show, Ellen and I knew what we wanted from the shoot and were prepared with our shot list and scripts. We'd worked out what order we were going to film our shots in to make the most of the time we had as we were filming outside and had animated amount of daylight.  For this shoot we had the same crew as the opening titles shoot (Troy on camera and Sammi on sound), who both had been briefed on what we were filming. We had 4 actors (Imogen, Laura, Rosie and Sam from second year) on this shoot so we had to make sure that everyone knew what they we doing when and keep everyone organised.  We went through our shot list relatively quickly with the team working really well together, crew and actors. The was strong communicated throughout the whole shoot and we had some time left at the end which allowed Sammi to recorded some more atmosphere sounds and we also gave Troy the option to film some of his own shots that went listed on our s...

After doing the test shoot for the opening titles, Ellen and I knew what we wanted it to look like and if what we wanted to do would work. This was good because we were filming with the presenter George and we wanted to make sure we were completely organised and ready for the day.  We booked our equipment and collected it the day before our shoot day, this was so we could make sure batteries were charged and that everything was working before the day. Doing this made the shoot so much easier, especially at the beginning of the day with the set up of the equipment as we knew everything was working and ready to go.  All crew members including myself and Ellen, the camera operator Troy and Sammi who was recording the sound for us arrived an hour and a half before we started shooting as we wanted to allow for enough time to set ups the equipment, do the necessary checks and make sure everything was working for when the presenter arrived. In our masterclass with Del Brown, we got some hands-on experience with the cameras, learning and experimenting with the filming styles of live TV as there are different techniques needed to film a live show. We looked at focusing and how during a live show, there isn't lots of time to spend on focussing cameras and framing so you have to be able to get your shots quickly and make sure they're clean and sharp shots.  We practised this by having all 5 cameras set up and splitting into five groups. We had a few people stand in as the subjects and the aim was to keep our focus and framing while they moved, at first walking in straight line and then making it more difficult by walking in a zig zag. I found this quite challenging at first because it was quite hard to control the focus and the framing size at the same time. To see what our plan for the trailer would look like, we created a test shoot. We used Josh and Sam as stand in presenter and Norman and we filmed in Lecture room 1 where we attempted to recreate the cinema scene we want for the real thing.  We used the projector and played a video which gave us a flicker effect to make the cinema setting more realistic and so we got the light reflecting on their faces. We then edited the video and added some basic graphics that we wanted to include to give an idea of what we would do with the real thing.  We liked how the overall look of the video, the two characters together worked well and its gives the audience a chance to get to know them and for them to be introduced before the show actually starts.  When it came to watching it with the rest of the class, there was a discussion as to whether it works as a trailer or if it would be better suited to the opening sequence of the show. For our tests shoot Ellen and I wrote out a script to give us an idea of what we wanted the trailer to be like.  For many of the shows, the trailers were a bundle of adverts fro a mixture of different shows, not one specific one. They also included clips from episodes, which is something we cannot do as it’s a pilot show. I looked at trailers for 8 out of 10 Cats as this is in a similar style to The Big Movie Quiz. For their trailers, the show clips from the show, focussing on the comedy aspect, they include and shots of the host and the contestants as they’re famous this this would be something that interests their audience. For our trailer we need to create something that doesn’t start with shots of the set as we don’t have access to ours, we need to use our characters and put then in a scenario to create our trailer.  For this we took the idea of using our two characters, the host and Norman and using them in the trailer.
