STUDIO PRODUCTION • Tickets and Sales
When coming up with ideas to go with selling's the tickets, we discussed them during a whole class production meeting where it was mentioned that we should put a price on the tickets to help raise money for a charity. Throughout multiple production meetings we decided that we wouldn't put a price on the tickets because we were worried that we wouldn't get enough audience members but we did decide that we would have collection buckets which the runners would walk round with on the day so that people had the option to donating to the charity we chose.
We decided to sell tickets using Eventbrite which was an easy way for us keep track of how many tickets we had sold, how many were left and it was also an easy way for the audience to get tickets as all you had to go was enter your name and email address and then how many tickets you wanted to reserve.
For the ticket page we designed it to include a description of the show and what it is about. We also included the time and date which is important for people to know and we also embedded the trailer in on the page so that people could watch it to get more of an idea of what the show is about.
We advertised the ticket pages through our social media pages for the show and we also got people from our class to share the post we put out so that they reached a wider audience. We put up 55 tickets which left us with 10 spares just in case but they were all booked by the set design team so in terms of tickets soled we had one ticket remaining. However on the day of the show not everyone how reserved a ticket turned up.
